Are you aware of Jerry Cohen's response to Frankfurt, 'Deeper into Bullshit'? It's in his collection, Finding Oneself in the Other, under the title 'Complete Bullshit'. The second part, 'Why One Kind of Bullshit Flourishes in France' is amusing.
